DAWN with Péter Breuer: Szilvia Viczián - A Special Compilation

In December 2023, I had the honor of joining Péter Breuer on his show "Dawn," where we embarked on a journey discussing my adventures to the Far East and delving into the world of architecture and my professional work.

This past December, I found myself in the warming glow of the studio lights for an early morning conversation that felt more like a journey than an interview. Péter Breuer, host of the renowned show "Dawn," invited me to share my story – a narrative that spans continents, cultures, and the complex world of architecture.

Our dialogue began with the pivotal moment I decided to venture into the Far East. It was a combination of curiosity, ambition, and perhaps a bit of serendipity that led me to explore new horizons beyond the familiar European architectural landscape. The East, with its rich history, unique cultural tapestry, and architectural marvels, offered a canvas so vast and varied that it was impossible for me not to be drawn in.

As Péter guided the conversation with ease, we touched upon the challenges and triumphs of working in an environment so different from what I was accustomed to. The learning curve was steep, but it was these very challenges that shaped my approach to architecture and design. The East taught me to view space and structure through a different lens, where functionality meets artistry in a dance of light, shadow, and material.

We also delved into specific projects that marked significant milestones in my career. Each building, each space, tells a story - not just of the people it was created for, but also of the journey of its creation. These stories, woven into the fabric of my professional life, are testimonies to the power of architecture in bridging worlds.

As our conversation came to a close, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to reflect on my journey with someone as insightful as Péter. It was a reminder of how far I've come and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

For those who missed the live broadcast, no need to search far and wide for the recording. By clicking on the video, you can watch the entire interview, offering a snapshot of my journey so far. It's an ode to the places that have shaped me, and perhaps, an inspiration for those dreaming of their own architectural adventures.
